The Facebook Matching Donation Starts Now! This year, Facebook is partnering with PayPal to match donations up to $7 million USD to US nonprofits on Facebook. Starting at 5AM Pacific Time (8AM Eastern) on Giving Tuesday, November 27, 2018 - That's NOW! - Facebook will begin matching donations made to registered non-profits with #GivingTuesday campaigns. That means every dollar you donate becomes two dollars until the $7 million commitment runs out. Of course, Music and Kids is a registered non-profit on Facebook. That's Amazon Smile in a nutshell. Just point your browser (or modify your bookmark) to smile.amazon.com, then choose a charity you want to support. Use this link to point your donations to Music and Kids: https://smile.amazon.com/ch/82 Then just shop like normal. So long as you're doing it via smile.amazon.com, Amazon will donate 0.5 percent of all eligible purchases to your nonprofit. All prices and products are the same as they would be if you bought them at the usual Amazon address. The only wrinkle is that the Amazon mobile app doesn't currently support this option. So if you shop a lot on your phone, do it in your mobile browser instead. Or, add stuff to your cart in the app, then use the browser to complete the purchase. Either way: easy and free!

Music and Kids is working to fund scholarships for students in Southern California so they can have weekly, one-on-one, afterschool music lessons with a paid, qualified instructor! We have a goal of giving the 68 students currently on our waiting list the gift of a scholarship to our program for 2019. To do this, we need you to donate to Music and Kids this holiday season. Scholarships to fund weekly lessons for 68 students for a full year will cost approximately $140,000. A lofty goal, yes, but with help from all of you (donate, share with friends, encourage others to donate), we should be able to make it! Music and Kids Singers will be performing in two local Christmas parades!
December 1: Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, Downtown Lancaster Blvd. in Lancaster, CA. The parade runs east on the BLVD starting at 10th St W to Division, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
