Do you believe in the mission and goals of Music and Kids? Do you believe there is a need to fill the growing gap between government funding for programs at our public schools and the need for music education? Do you feel strongly that music education is important for young people? Do you want to do something to help?
If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, you should consider becoming a Member of Music and Kids! What does Membership mean? It means pledging your support to Music and Kids at a level you can afford on a monthly basis. Members will receive a Music and Kids t-shirt and a special members-only monthly e-newsletter with notes and videos from the students whose dreams you are funding. If you own a business, you can also have your business logo added to our promotional materials (website, event banners, event programs, etc.). How does Membership help Music and Kids? Having consistent pledges of support allows Music and Kids to provide sustainable and stable programming to our enrollees, which is vital to the health of a nonprofit organization like ours. One month of lessons for a Music and Kids enrollee (four weekly lessons) costs $210 ($2,500 per year). You can choose to sponsor a student by pledging $210 per month. However, if $210 per month is above your budget, smaller membership levels can be added together to provide additional sponsorships. Membership Levels: Membership Level – 10: $10 per month Membership Level – 25: $25 per month Membership Level – 50: $50 per month Membership Level – 100: $100 per month Membership Level – Full Student: $210 per month Membership Level – Other: Any amount per month that works for you!
How is this done?

You can cancel your subscription through PayPal at any time, if you decide you no longer want to donate. Direct Donation – Contact Chuck Murphy, Board President, CEO and Founder of Music and Kids by email [email protected] or call (661) 435-3153 to set up your monthly pledge by invoice. Music and Kids would like to thank all of the local organizations and small businesses that have supported our programs and events with generous donations. We have found that the majority of our donations and sponsorships come from local organizations and small businesses, rather than the larger corporations with a presence in our community. We ask that you consider this when you are making your own charitable contributions and shopping decisions.
Think LOCAL and support small businesses! Thank you to everyone at Vince's Pasta and Pizza and to all who came out to support Music and Kids and Gabriel's House at this fun, delicious event!

Gloria is a senior at Highland High School in Palmdale. She is the captain of the school's mock trial team. She was recently awarded a full-ride academic scholarship to University of Washington. She's been singing with M&K for 11 months, and has been learning the piano for about 5 of those months as well.
Gloria is a musical theater kid at heart. We started her lessons by teaching her to control her tone, so she has more versatility, flexibility, and reach in her chest voice. Right now, she's learning to play and sing "A Guy That I'd Kinda Be Into" from the musical Be More Chill. |
